Frequently Asked Questions
How do I scan a document?
Open the app and tap the "Camera" button to take a photo of your document, or tap "Gallery" to select an existing image. After capturing or selecting an image, you can adjust the corners to crop the document, then tap "Apply" to add it to your PDF.
How do I create a multi-page PDF?
Simply add multiple images before generating the PDF. Each image will become a separate page. You can use the up/down arrows on each image to reorder pages before generating your PDF.
How do I rotate an image?
After capturing or selecting an image, you'll see a "Rotate" button at the top of the crop screen. Tap it to rotate the image 90 degrees clockwise. Tap multiple times to continue rotating.
Where are my PDFs saved?
PDFs are saved to your device's Documents folder in a subfolder called "SnapToPDF". You can access them through the "Documents" tab in the app, or through your device's file manager.
How do I encrypt a PDF?
Go to the Documents tab, tap the menu icon (three dots) on any PDF, and select "Encrypt". Enter a password and confirm it. The encrypted file will be saved with a ".enc" extension. Remember your password - we cannot recover it if you forget it!
I forgot my encryption password. Can you help me recover it?
Unfortunately, no. SnapToPDF uses strong encryption and does not store your passwords anywhere. We have no way to recover encrypted files if you forget your password. We recommend keeping secure backups of important unencrypted documents.
What encryption does SnapToPDF use?
SnapToPDF offers AES-128 and AES-256 encryption. You can choose your preferred encryption strength in Settings. AES-256 is more secure but slightly slower. Both are considered highly secure for personal documents.
Can I change the app language?
Yes! Go to Settings and look for the "Language" option. SnapToPDF currently supports English, Croatian (Hrvatski), and German (Deutsch).
Does SnapToPDF require an internet connection?
No. SnapToPDF works completely offline. All processing happens on your device. You only need an internet connection to download the app initially.
Is my data safe?
Yes. SnapToPDF processes everything locally on your device. We don't collect, upload, or have access to any of your documents, images, or personal data. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
How do I share a PDF?
Go to the Documents tab, tap the menu icon on any PDF, and select "Share". This will open your device's share menu where you can send the PDF via email, messaging apps, cloud storage, and more.
